Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ioJump ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the public site at iojump.com or the technician application at go.iojump.com.
Information We Collect
- Account information (Technicians). When you create an account on go.iojump.com we collect your email, a password hash, and any profile information you provide.
- Support session metadata. When a call occurs we store session identifiers, timestamps, support codes, the technician's user id, and limited connection state needed to relay signaling. Support codes and session metadata are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- Communication content. Live video and audio is exchanged peer-to-peer between browsers and is not recorded by ioJump. Chat messages sent during a session are stored in the session document so both parties can see them; they are deleted with the session.
- Technical data. Standard web logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) are kept for operational and security purposes.
- Cookies. We use a session cookie on go.iojump.com to keep technicians logged in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
How We Use Information
- To provide the support session service and route calls between participants;
- To prevent abuse (including via Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives your IP and a challenge token to verify you are not a bot);
- To send transactional emails such as account verification and call invitations.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate ioJump (for example, our hosting provider, our TURN/STUN provider, our email sending provider, and Cloudflare for DDoS protection and bot verification), and when required by law.
Data Retention
Support codes and session records are deleted automatically 24 hours after creation. Account records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion for legal and audit purposes.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. Where applicable, you have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), and similar privacy laws.
Security
Traffic is served over HTTPS. Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Calls use end-to-end encrypted browser connections, which encrypt media in transit. We follow reasonable industry practices to safeguard your information, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
ioJump is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page.
